BIG BOARD – Top Prospects for the 2014 NFL Draft

This is my collection of the best prospects for the 2014 NFL Draft.

This list has grown to become known as a ‘Big Board’ by many – and features more of a value based range of where players draft values are. It ranks the best draft eligible players in accordance with, not necessarily their projection, but overall talent. A big Board basically compiles a list of prospects in the order you believe they ‘should’ be selected as opposed to where they actually will be. Various factors, such as a risk/reward outlook where off the field issues, character concerns, injuries, and such can cause a player to slip in an actual draft beyond where their talent would otherwise project.

In my cases, each team will construct a board (or list) of this sort – a Draft Board if you will – at the end of the scouting process to see which players they’ll target and where value can be found, even if that means a position at a later round.

While I’m not making a draft board, as a team would specific to their wants, needs, and evaluations – I hope to make this an accurate assumption of how many teams will evaluated the pool of prospects.

I will continue to update this list with draft eligible players as they declare – and the rankings will continually change in the weeks leading up to the draft. My changes will be done in order to provide an accurate view – and value – of prospects as their talents are judged and critiqued over the months to come.

Note: This is not a mock draft, and in no way represents the order in which I believe players will be selected.
